bibliolatry.net : a library blog

At first, I laughed when I learned of the new Journal of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. But then, when I read the Table of Contents of the inaugural issue, I was somewhat heartened to see an article called "The Fox and the Hedgehog: Myopia About Homeland Security in U.S. Policies on Terrorism", by James K. Mitchell. The journal's scope, as reported on the website:

"This new journal is intended to make an innovative contribution to the current critical national effort to promote homeland security by providing an accessible, responsive medium for the publication of research, exchange of ideas, and discussion of current issues and events by knowledgeable researchers and practitioners."

I'm keeping my eye on it.

For those of you who read this site's content via RSS: I redesigned. The CSS was getting pretty convoluted so I went with a clean slate. I really only mention this because I'm a little proud of it, low-tech as it is. It's my first completely unassisted leap into CSS. And those of you who actually visit this page, let me know if things aren't showing up the way they should.

about
You used to know bibliolatry.net as a library news/resource blog. Well, I'm now posting library news/resources at LISNews.com (albeit sporadically) and bibliolatry.net is where I talk about the library lit I'm reading. Have something I should read? Let me know. Have something to say about an article I talk about? Leave a comment. For more about me, go here.
